Rosalind Nashashibi

The ICA exhibition is the first major survey exhibition of Nashashibi’s work, which presents films, photographs and collages from the last four years. This catalogue presents material from these works, alongside artists' texts and research. Both the exhibition and the catalogue sets out a number of recurring motifs within Nashashibi's work, and what she describes as a 'family tree' of symbols and signs. Works included in the catalogue: Eyeballing (2005), Abbeys (2005), Bachelor Machines Part 1 (2007), Bachelor Machines Part 2 (2007), Footnote (2008), The Prisoner (2008), as well as new film and photographic work.

The exhibition has been developed by the ICA with Bergen Kunsthall, Norway, and the latter will present the exhibition in November - December 2009.

This catalogue is produced by the ICA and Bergen Kunsthall in collaboration with Ontario College of Art and Design, Ontario.
